Army Commander Sapta Shakti Command Visits Hisar Military Station

Jaipur, Tuesday, 19 Aug 2025 (Kiran News). Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command, reviewed the operational preparedness of the formations of ‘Dot On Target Division’ during his two-day visit to Hisar Military Station on 18 and 19 August 2025.

As the Indian Defence Forces advance through the ‘Decade of Transformation’, the Army Commander conducted a comprehensive evaluation of operational readiness and combat efficacy. He witnessed first-hand the impact of cutting-edge technology, with special focus on agility, firepower, and technology-driven warfare. Particular emphasis was given to Unmanned Aerial Systems.

The Army Commander observed the measures and modifications taken by the units to counter the increased threat of Unmanned Aerial Systems and Loitering Munition. He also visited the Division Drone Centre of Excellence and Counter Drone Node, appreciating the formation’s efforts in training soldiers in modern drone warfare technologies. The Army Commander stressed the importance of having a robust and effective counter-drone strategy based on long-range detection and kill capabilities, to neutralise any threat to military establishments during both peacetime and war.

He also visited several station welfare facilities, including the Integrated Health Centre, a modern library, Integrated Open Air Gym and sports facilities, and ASHA School for differently abled children. He praised the efforts of all ranks of the DOT Division for their initiatives in creating inclusive welfare and recreational facilities at the station.

The Army Commander highlighted the need to maintain a high level of operational preparedness to overcome the challenges of the modern battlefield. He appreciated the unwavering commitment and dedication of all ranks towards modernisation and the goal of Viksit Bharat.
