Hamirpur, February 21: BJP MP Anurag Thakur has launched a strong attack on the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, stating that the party responsible for plunging the state into debt will not be spared. He emphasized that the government has failed to fulfill its promises to the public. The people have decided to remove the Congress government from power.
Thakur spoke during an event in Hamirpur on Saturday, where he interacted with the media alongside the mayor, former mayor, and other members. He pledged to expose the corrupt and incompetent state government that has burdened Himachal Pradesh with debt, stifled development, exploited employees, women, and youth, and consistently shifted blame onto others. He asserted that not a single guarantee made by Congress has been fulfilled in three years.
He stated that the people of Dev Bhoomi have resolved to uproot the corrupt and ineffective Congress government that has prioritized its own interests over the welfare of the poor.
Regarding protests by Indian Youth Congress workers at the AI Summit, Thakur remarked that Congress has not engaged in politics but has opposed the nation and made derogatory comments against PM Modi. He accused them of violating democratic norms and suggested that they have become anti-India. While India is rapidly becoming the fourth-largest economy, Rahul Gandhi refers to it as a “dead economy.” He criticized Congress for tarnishing India’s image on international platforms, questioning the nature of their politics.
Thakur challenged Congress, asking if they do not want investment in India, more job opportunities for youth, and new avenues for young people in the AI sector. He lamented that in their attempts to undermine the BJP, they have started to undermine India itself, calling it unfortunate and demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi.
