During the review, officials provided initial information indicating that there were 35 passengers on board at the time of the accident, with 14 fatalities and 22 injured, three of whom are reported to be in critical condition.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure the best possible medical care for all injured victims, provide adequate compensation to the families of the deceased and injured, and conduct a thorough investigation into the causes of the accident.
Preliminary assessments suggest that the accident may have occurred after the bus entered the opposite lane, while the driver allegedly reported that the steering had jammed.
