Mumbai, October 14 (Daily Kiran) : Megastar Amitabh Bachchan recently explored the intriguing connection between music and autism during an episode of the quiz show “Kaun Banega Crorepati.” While conversing with contestant Rishabh, Bachchan recounted a remarkable story about a young boy struggling with autism who astonished everyone by playing famous melodies on the piano.
Bachchan expressed his belief that individuals with autism often have a special affinity for music. He noted, “I feel that people dealing with autism tend to connect deeply with music. When they start to improve or express themselves, their bond with music becomes evident.”
He shared a poignant tale about a family with a young boy who was unable to speak or communicate effectively. The child’s parents were deeply concerned about his condition, making outings challenging. Their home had two floors, with a piano located on the ground level.
One night, the parents were surprised to hear piano music coming from downstairs. Upon listening closely, they recognized the melodies of renowned composers Chopin and Beethoven. Curious about the late-night performance, they went downstairs to investigate.
To their astonishment, they found their four- or five-year-old son playing the piano flawlessly. The parents were left in disbelief at their child’s remarkable talent.
Reflecting on this story, Bachchan remarked, “I believe there is a connection between autism and music. I hope you will inspire others through your work for the country and for yourselves. Thank you very much.”
