Amit Shah Sets Ambitious Goal for a Drug-Free India by 2029

Bhopal, October 3 (Daily Kiran) : Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah announced a significant initiative aimed at eradicating drug abuse in India by the end of 2029. Speaking at a livestock conference in Bhopal, he declared that the country has successfully tackled the issue of Naxalism and is now focusing on achieving a drug-free society.

Shah urged citizens to commit to making Madhya Pradesh completely drug-free by December 31, 2029, and called for support in the government’s ongoing efforts. He emphasized that comprehensive plans will be developed to facilitate this transition, which he believes will provide new opportunities for the youth of the state.

In his address, Shah commended the efforts to improve the breed of livestock across 50 acres in Madhya Pradesh, stating that such initiatives could help the state achieve a daily milk production target of 5 million liters in the next three years.

Additionally, Shah inaugurated a new justice code exhibition, highlighting the government’s move to replace outdated colonial laws with a modern justice system. He explained that the new code aims to deliver justice efficiently, with provisions ensuring that a guilty party can be sentenced within three years of filing an FIR. This shift is designed to protect the rights of every Indian and modernize the judicial process.

The updated justice code incorporates online FIRs, video conferencing, and scientific methods, addressing issues like women’s safety and terrorism. Shah expressed confidence that this new framework would position India’s judiciary as one of the most advanced in the world.
