BJP Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Undermining Constitutional Institutions
BJP leaders criticize Rahul Gandhi for allegedly threatening constitutional institutions and claim the opposition lacks public support.

New Delhi, November 1 (Daily Kiran) : BJP leaders have launched a fierce attack on Congress and Rahul Gandhi in light of the opposition’s recent rally in New Delhi. They allege that the opposition is attempting to weaken constitutional institutions and mislead the public by questioning the election commission’s processes. Moreover, they dismissed the rally as a failure, asserting that the public is no longer supporting the opposition.
Sanjay Sarawagi, the BJP president of Bihar, stated that Rahul Gandhi is staging a new drama to intimidate constitutional institutions. He claimed that Gandhi lacks public backing and is misleading citizens. Sarawagi pointed out that under Congress rule, the party had previously undermined democracy by toppling state governments and imposing President’s rule, which he deemed a significant violation of the constitution.
He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in office not because of Rahul Gandhi, but due to the support of the people. Sarawagi accused Gandhi of consistently targeting constitutional bodies and questioned the legitimacy of the opposition’s claims regarding voter fraud. He also criticized the opposition for alleging issues with electronic voting machines only when they are not in power.
Sarawagi further noted that in states governed by Congress, residents are praising the electoral processes, while the opposition in Delhi claims otherwise. He raised concerns about the integrity of the voter rolls, questioning whether the opposition intends to allow deceased individuals to vote or if they want to enable double voting.
BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal added that the Emergency was imposed during Congress’s rule and criticized Gandhi for claiming that democracy is at risk. He labeled Gandhi as a failed leader who only seeks to create controversy. Khandelwal remarked that Gandhi avoids discussing governance in Congress-ruled states, which is likely why voters reject him in elections.
He also took a jab at Mallikarjun Kharge, suggesting he operates as a puppet for the Congress party and the Gandhi family. Khandelwal asserted that under Modi‘s leadership, the country is progressing, and the opposition should adopt a constructive role instead of a destructive one.
Targeting Akhilesh Yadav, he noted that Yadav is politically isolated and questioned why he relies on Congress support if he believes he can defeat the BJP alone in elections.
