Amit Shah Criticizes Congress for Negative Politics at Madhya Pradesh Event

Bhopal, October 3 (Daily Kiran) : Central Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the Congress party during a recent event in Bhopal, asserting that they have consistently engaged in negative politics. Speaking at the Gopalak conference held at the BHEL Dussehra Maidan, Shah emphasized that since India gained independence, there has been a persistent demand for a separate Ministry of Cooperation, which Congress failed to establish for 75 years. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for creating this ministry, which he believes will greatly benefit dairy farmers.

Shah highlighted the exploitation faced by dairy farmers in the open market, where middlemen often take a significant share of profits. He stated that while farmers receive only 35 rupees per liter, a cooperative system could increase this amount to 55 rupees.

During the event, Shah also inaugurated a milk processing plant in Ujjain, which cost 255 crores, and provided bonuses totaling 12 crores to livestock farmers. He pointed out that under Modi’s leadership, milk production in the country rose from 146 million tons in 2014-15 to 250 million tons over a decade, underscoring the government’s commitment to the dairy sector.

He further noted that India is the largest milk producer globally, with the top five producing states—Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra—all governed by the BJP. Shah criticized Congress for their lack of initiatives in supporting farmers, claiming their focus is limited to protests and negativity.

Shah explained the government’s efforts to develop a comprehensive ecosystem for dairy production, including bio-gas production from cow dung and processing dairy products. He stressed the importance of not just collecting milk but also creating a robust processing system to produce items like ice cream, butter, and cheese.

At the conference, he also addressed new criminal laws, stating that the laws established during British rule were designed to protect their governance, whereas the new laws aim to safeguard the dignity and rights of Indian citizens, with justice as their core principle.

The event marked a significant gathering of dairy farmers, signaling a new wave of enthusiasm and commitment in Madhya Pradesh’s dairy industry, which Shah dubbed “White Revolution 2.0.”
