New Delhi, April 17: Amidst the political uproar over the delimitation issue, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has launched a sharp attack on the opposition. He stated that the opposition is spreading misleading fears about delimitation across the country, which have already been debunked with facts.
Pradhan emphasized that Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has clearly outlined the position on all matters related to delimitation. Despite this, the opposition continues to conspire to mislead the public, a tactic that will never succeed. He asserted that claims suggesting that delimitation would be unfair to southern India or any state are purely a political agenda.
Targeting the opposition, he remarked that it is unfortunate that those who weakened democratic institutions during their tenure and compromised the spirit of the Constitution are now attempting to spread fear and confusion in the name of democracy.
In a post on the social media platform X, he wrote, “The misleading fears propagated by the opposition, especially Congress, regarding delimitation have been clearly refuted with facts by Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.”
He reiterated that the opposition is scheming to mislead the entire nation regarding delimitation, a plan that will never come to fruition. The assertion that it would be unjust to the south or any state is merely a deceptive political agenda being pushed for narrow interests.
Amit Shah further stated, “It is unfortunate that those who weakened democratic institutions for years, compromised the spirit of the Constitution, and crushed democracy during the Emergency are now creating fear and confusion in the name of democracy. However, the people of India are now fully aware and recognize every such attempt. The efforts to divide the country on a regional basis or create political instability in the name of delimitation have never succeeded in the past and will not succeed in the future.”
