Amit Shah Honors Savitribai Phule: A Beacon of Change and Equality

New Delhi, March 10: On the anniversary of Savitribai Phule, India’s first female teacher and a prominent social reformer, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other BJP leaders paid tribute to her legacy. Shah described Phule as an inspiration for the nation.

In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Amit Shah wrote, “Savitribai Phule initiated the campaign to educate women during a time rife with social evils. She established the country’s first girls’ school and spread the idea of equality to every corner. I pay my respects to her on her death anniversary.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also honored her on ‘X’, stating, “On the death anniversary of Savitribai Phule, the voice of women’s consciousness and the architect of an egalitarian society, I offer my humble tribute.”

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta took to ‘X’ to express, “I bow to Savitribai Phule, the first female teacher and a great social reformer of India, on her death anniversary. Her struggle and dedication for women’s empowerment and social harmony through education will always inspire us.”

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav shared on ‘X’, “I pay my humble respects on the death anniversary of Savitribai Phule, a symbol of women’s empowerment. Her efforts to eradicate social evils like untouchability, sati, and child marriage herald a new era of empowerment and self-reliance for women. I bow to her.”

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini wrote on ‘X’, “On the death anniversary of Savitribai Phule, the first female teacher and a pioneer of women’s education and liberation movements, I offer my profound respects. The awareness and empowerment she ignited through education remain an eternal source of inspiration for all of us.”

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also honored her on ‘X’, echoing similar sentiments about her contributions to women’s education and empowerment.
