Amit Shah Criticizes Rahul Gandhi During Hyderabad Rally, Defends Voter List Revisions
Amit Shah lambasts Rahul Gandhi in Hyderabad, asserting BJPs commitment to electoral integrity amid voter list controversies.

Hyderabad, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Central Home Minister Amit Shah launched a vigorous campaign in Hyderabad on November 2, following the recent India Alliance rally in Delhi. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its outreach, conducting marches across Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal, and Hyderabad under the banner of “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy.”
Addressing a public gathering, Shah emphasized the historical significance of Sardar Patel’s actions, suggesting that without them, Hyderabad might not have been part of India today. He criticized the opposition’s claims regarding the rally, stating, “They say it’s a rally to save votes, but I argue it’s a rally to protect infiltrators.” Shah accused Congress of attempting to shield Bangladeshi infiltrators from the electoral rolls, asserting that the BJP would ensure every infiltrator is removed from the voter list.
He further claimed that Congress is obstructing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls because these infiltrators constitute their vote bank. “The BJP stands firmly with the SIR. Only legitimate citizens will cast votes in this country,” Shah declared. He refuted Rahul Gandhi‘s assertion that 130 million votes were affected by the SIR, explaining that many of these votes were invalid due to various reasons, including duplicate entries and deceased individuals.
Shah countered Congress’s accusations that the BJP benefits from the SIR, noting that the party won elections in 2014 and 2019 without it. “Our victories are due to the voters of India, not the SIR,” he stated. In a pointed remark about Rahul Gandhi’s recent mock parliament session, Shah quipped that if asked, he would suggest Gandhi could become Prime Minister in a fake parliament, as he would never achieve that in the real one.
He criticized Gandhi for holding the Constitution while failing to respect its principles, asserting that the responsibilities of the Constitution are fulfilled through Parliament, which Gandhi allegedly disrupts. Shah expressed the BJP’s readiness to convene a special parliamentary session, accusing Gandhi of preferring chaos over constructive dialogue.
Earlier in the day, Shah visited the Bhagyalakshmi Temple for prayers before commencing his march from Nizam College. The ongoing “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy” campaign by the BJP aims to counter Congress’s allegations regarding the voter list revisions.
