BJP Launches Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy March in Ranchi, Critiques Hemant Soren Government

The BJPs Save Democracy march in Ranchi highlights concerns over law and order under the Hemant Soren government.

Ranchi, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : The Jharkhand unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) kicked off its ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ march from Ranchi on November 2. This initiative aims to spotlight the need for protecting constitutional institutions and democratic values while strongly criticizing the Hemant Soren-led government over deteriorating law and order, administrative failures, and women’s safety issues. The party also reiterated its commitment to raise awareness about a special intensive review of the voter list across the state.

The march commenced from Bapu Vatika in Morhabadi Maidan, where senior BJP leaders and workers paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. It proceeded past the SSP residence and Kachhari Chowk, eventually reaching the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Smriti Udyan at Jail Mor.

During the event, Union Minister Jual Oram launched a direct attack on the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi, urging the opposition to remember the dark days of the Emergency in 1975 before questioning constitutional institutions. He accused the Congress of undermining the credibility of the Election Commission and the Supreme Court due to their frustration over repeated electoral defeats.

BJP state president Aditya Sahu criticized the ruling coalition, claiming that Congress and its allies were misleading the public with false narratives about “vote theft.” He cited a recent incident in the Saraikela-Kharsawan district, where a woman seeking justice was allegedly assaulted by police officers, highlighting the dire state of law and order. Sahu emphasized that women in the state are unsafe while the Chief Minister is occupied with an opposition rally in Delhi.

Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi stated that the ruling government and Congress are attempting to foster an environment of chaos in Jharkhand. He urged party workers to communicate the government’s anti-people policies and failures to the public. Former Union Minister Arjun Munda and state in-charge Gajendra Singh Patel echoed concerns, suggesting that the opposition’s desperation following electoral defeats is leading to an erosion of constitutional integrity.

The march saw participation from key party figures, including Gajendra Singh Patel, Arjun Munda, state general secretary Manoj Singh, and organization secretary Pawan Soye, along with a large number of party workers. Participants carried banners and placards addressing issues of illegal immigration and state development, with slogans like “SIR is just an excuse, protecting infiltrators” and “Stop tampering with the public mandate.”

The BJP plans to conduct further marches in two phases across major districts, including Giridih, Hazaribagh, Palamu, Jamshedpur, and Dumka, until November 5.
