Reports indicate that she stood in line with 400 other girls to audition for “Student of the Year.” Through hard work and passion, she has emerged as one of the top actresses in the film industry.
Alia began her journey with immense dedication. Despite being a star kid, she secured her role in “Student of the Year” solely through her audition. Filmmaker Karan Johar mentioned this during an interview, revealing that nearly 400 girls from across the country were screened for the film. In such fierce competition, Alia stood out with her unique style.
Karan Johar noted that he immediately recognized the “X factor” in Alia, making her perfect for the role. He even advised her to lose some weight, which she accomplished in just three months. Alia appeared slimmer and made a remarkable debut with her film.
In an old audition video, Alia can be seen delivering dialogues from “Wake Up Sid.” Karan Johar shared that his friend Niranjan Iyengar suggested Alia, the daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, for the upcoming film. After her screen test, he was instantly impressed. He stated, “We saw 400 girls, but Alia was different. I just told her to lose some weight. She worked hard and got ready.”
This dedication launched Alia’s career, and the film performed well at the box office. After “Student of the Year,” she never looked back.
