Mumbai, August 18: Renowned music composer Akhil Sachdeva has carved a special place in the hearts of audiences with his exceptional songs in Hindi cinema. He believes that while he is shy in real life, performing on stage ignites a unique energy and enthusiasm within him.
In a recent interview, the composer expressed his joy in performing live. He stated, “I am shy in real life, but once I step on stage, a lion awakens inside me. If you’ve seen me perform, I am the king. I don’t socialize much. I feel I can’t live a middle-ground life; I am either here or there. These two aspects work for me. I have worked hard in life, and now it’s time to follow my heart.”
He further added, “I want to do what my heart desires. I know I am not doing anything wrong. I am a person with a pure heart. I approach every task sincerely and with love, ensuring I don’t hurt anyone. When you work with such goodness, there’s nothing to fear. I listen to my heart, and that’s my greatest strength.”
Akhil Sachdeva is well-known for his contributions to Bollywood films, particularly for the songs “Humsafar” from ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ and the hit track “Tera Ban Jaunga” from ‘Kabir Singh.’
He began his career as the lead vocalist for the popular Sufi-rock band ‘Nasha’ in Delhi. Recently, he lent his voice to the song “Piya Ghar Aaya – Homecoming” for the film ‘Awarapan 2,’ which has been well-received by audiences. The song, which he wrote, composed, and performed, features actors Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani, and Shabana Azmi, and has a runtime of 3 minutes and 8 seconds.
