Actress Anit Padda Faces Heartbreak with Grandfathers Passing

Mumbai, April 21: Anit Padda, who made her debut in Yash Raj Films’ “Saiyara,” is set to appear alongside Ahaan Panday in the upcoming film “Satranga,” directed by Mohit Suri. However, the actress is currently grappling with immense sorrow following the loss of her beloved grandfather.

Anit shared the news of her grandfather’s passing on social media. He had been battling Alzheimer’s disease for some time. In her heartfelt post, she shared a photo of her grandfather’s hand and expressed her emotions through words. She wrote, “The only love of my life. You were drifting away, but you never forgot ‘Makkhan’ (Anit’s nickname). You held onto love, even if you couldn’t hold onto memories. I will cherish all our moments together. I will strive to be a good person. I will remember your jokes and share them whenever I can. I will carry your kindness and light into every dark room. I will remember your stories and share them with the world. I will hold onto your love. You taught me the purest and most unconditional love.”

Anit continued, “Today, I saw the brightest star in the sky, and I knew where you had gone. I love you, Dadaji, and I will always go beyond my limits for you.”

Her post clearly reflects the deep bond she shared with her grandfather. Notably, during the release of “Saiyara,” her grandfather was unable to attend the theater due to his declining health. However, he recognized Anit through some videos on the phone, which brought a big smile to his face—a moment that remains special for the actress.

After the film’s release, Anit revealed that her grandfather often forgot her name due to Alzheimer’s and would call her “Hiraput” or “Makkhan.” Interestingly, in “Saiyara,” Anit portrayed a character suffering from Alzheimer’s, making the film particularly close to her heart.
