New Delhi, March 26: The International Film Festival has kicked off at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, marking its second day on Thursday.
A special screening of Aamir Khan’s film ‘Taare Zameen Par’ was held at the festival, providing the actor an opportunity to engage with young audiences. Director Anil Kumar Ravipudi and actress Aishwarya Rajesh also attended the event on the festival’s second day.
Speaking to the media, Aamir Khan expressed his joy at the inaugural International Film Festival in Delhi, highlighting the significance of his film’s special screening. He stated, “It is a matter of pride for us, and most of the audience here are young viewers eager to see the film.”
Regarding the film’s OTT release, Aamir mentioned that he prefers not to have the film released on OTT platforms immediately after its theatrical run. However, with time passing, the film will be available on OTT starting April 3. “I hope people around the world will love the film and enjoy it,” he added.
Director Anil Kumar Ravipudi shared his feelings about the event, saying, “I feel honored and grateful to be in Delhi. This is the first time this event is being hosted here. Two of my films are being showcased, and both are memorable for me. I hope everyone enjoys our films.”
South Indian actress Aishwarya Rajesh expressed her excitement, stating, “It is an honor and a joy for us to be here, especially since our film ‘Sankranthiki Vastunam’ is also being screened. I believe this is the first film festival in Delhi, and I have always thought that such a festival should exist in the capital. I feel this event marks the beginning of that.”
