Mumbai, May 1: Actor Junaid Khan is making headlines with his film ‘Ek Din.’ In a recent conversation with Kapil Sharma, Aamir Khan expressed pride in his son, stating that Junaid has carved his own career path without any assistance from him.
Aamir Khan Productions shared a video on Instagram where Kapil Sharma asked, “Do you read Junaid’s film scripts?”
Aamir replied, “No, I don’t read any of his scripts, and he prefers that I don’t interfere in his career. He chose his own path and struggles. Initially, he went to Los Angeles to learn the nuances of theater. After that, he returned to Mumbai, performed in theater, and met casting directors for auditions. No one in the industry knew he was my son, and I didn’t tell anyone.”
He continued, “Then one day, I received a call from Aditya Chopra saying he wanted to cast Junaid in his film. Junaid didn’t inform me; I found out from outside sources. He signed the film on his own and won everyone’s hearts with his performance. As a father, I am proud that he has made his mark without my help.”
During the conversation, Aamir also spoke about Junaid’s simplicity. He mentioned that Junaid lives a modest life and avoids unnecessary expenses. Aamir said, “I even told Junaid to buy a car.”
Expressing his love for his son, Aamir noted that despite Junaid now being 6 feet 2 inches tall, he still sees him as his little boy. He reminisced about how easy it was to hold him as a child. “Now he is much taller, but whenever I hug him, I feel the same comfort I did when I held him close as a child.”
