Shirdi, March 25: The 115th Shri Ram Navami Festival is being celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm by the Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust in Shirdi. The festivities began on Wednesday and will continue until Friday, March 27. A large number of Sai devotees from across the country and abroad are arriving in Shirdi for the occasion.
On the first day, March 25, the Kakad Aarti of Shri Sai Baba was performed at 5:15 AM. Thousands of devotees participated in this sacred and auspicious ceremony with deep reverence. Following this, a traditional procession featuring the holy book and idol of Shri Sai Baba commenced at 5:45 AM, filled with excitement. The temple complex resonated with the sounds of drums and the chants of ‘Sai Ram’, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
The temple premises have been beautifully illuminated, enhancing the grandeur of the festival. To ensure the comfort of the devotees, the trust has made various arrangements, including a smooth plan for darshan, stringent security measures, cleanliness, and traffic control.
To successfully conduct this festival, the ad-hoc committee, led by its chairman and the chief district and sessions judge, Shivajirao Kachare, along with committee member and district collector Pankaj Aashiya, CEO Goraksh Gadilkar, and deputy CEO Bhimraj Darade, are continuously working with all administrative officials, security personnel, and staff from various departments.
The entire town of Shirdi is witnessing a deeply devotional and enthusiastic atmosphere. The name ‘Sai Ram’ echoes throughout the area, contributing to the festival’s significant religious and cultural importance due to the faith, enthusiasm, and devotion of the devotees.
Ram Navami, celebrated on the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri, marks the birth of Lord Ram. The midday period on this day holds special significance, as it is believed that Lord Ram was born at noon.
