New Delhi, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : In New Delhi, a group of young supporters gathered on Friday near Connaught Place, expressing their opposition to recent protests led by opposition parties. Under the banner of the ‘Hit Janata Party,’ they rallied in support of the Delhi police and the government. The protesters accused opposition groups of violating protest regulations and demanded permission from the government for their demonstration.
One participant stated, “We cannot tolerate disrespect towards our Prime Minister. We are here to show our support.” He emphasized the need for robust police measures to prevent what he referred to as “cockroaches” from participating in the opposition protests.
Another protester warned, “This government will not grant permission. The time for the ‘cockroaches’ is coming to an end.” He expressed confidence that a larger crowd would assemble the following day, predicting that “two lakh people will come, and we will see how the administration responds.”
Others echoed similar sentiments, criticizing opposition parties for demanding resignations from officials. “If someone does good for the country, they will also be asked to resign,” one said. They called for an end to what they viewed as disrespectful comments towards the Prime Minister and demanded that the upcoming protests be halted.
A participant added, “We are here for the nation’s interest. We cannot overlook the illegal activities at Jantar Mantar. Today, they demand resignations from ministers, but tomorrow they will target the President and the Prime Minister. We want to prevent the protest scheduled for October 10.”
Another protester voiced frustration over police restrictions on their demonstration. “We cannot watch them being beaten. We saw a woman crying. Our blood is boiling at the disrespect shown to our Prime Minister. The country is being made a laughingstock, and we will not tolerate this. Our protest will be large enough that it cannot be ignored.”
