
Thiruvananthapuram, March 28: Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar urged the youth to take a leading role in building a developed India. He emphasized that the youth are the greatest strength behind the country’s space-based advancements.
Speaking at an interactive session held at Lok Bhavan, he highlighted the importance of youth in shaping the nation’s future. The event featured a lecture by Shubanshu Shukla, a scientist from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), who spoke on “India in Space, India in Power: A Youth Roadmap for a Developed India.”
The Governor stated that the phrase “Sare Jahan Se Achha Hindustan Hamara” should not just be a slogan but should reflect in action and progress. He encouraged every Indian to work hard for the betterment of the country.
Addressing students and young people, Shubanshu Shukla asserted that the true strength of the nation lies in its youth. He inspired them to move forward with confidence, courage, and hard work, urging them not to fear failure and to set ambitious goals.
Shukla shared his experiences from the Axiom-4 mission, mentioning the emotional moment of viewing India from space. He described the country as vast, united, and full of potential. He also discussed scientific experiments conducted during the mission, including studies on rice seeds from Kerala, showcasing how local knowledge can contribute to global science.
The Governor remarked that India’s progress will depend on innovation and new ideas. He cited the nation’s space journey as proof that no goal is unattainable and encouraged the youth to harness their talent and imagination for nation-building.
The program concluded with a dialogue session where students asked questions and shared their thoughts, clearly indicating that the future of India rests in the hands of its youth.
