Yashs Toxic Release Delayed Amid Middle East Tensions

Mumbai, March 4: The highly anticipated action-drama ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ starring Kannada superstar Yash has had its global release postponed. The filmmakers officially announced on Wednesday that the film will now hit theaters worldwide on June 4, 2026.

Originally scheduled for release on March 19, 2026, the decision to delay was made in consultation with their primary distribution partner, Fars Films, by Kaveen Productions and Monster Minds Creations. The film will now be showcased on the new date as part of a strategic plan.

The producers explained that the delay was due to ongoing tensions and war-like conditions in the Middle East, a crucial market for the film with a large audience base.

Following the advice of Fars Films, the release date was pushed back to avoid uncertainties and disruptions in theaters within the region. The makers stated that they are closely monitoring the situation and made this difficult yet sensible decision in the interest of the audience.

Prior to this announcement, the filmmakers were preparing for a grand trailer launch event in Bengaluru on March 8, with promotional schedules already finalized. Music videos and other promotional materials have been temporarily put on hold.

In their official statement, they said, “’Toxic’ is a film crafted for a global audience. It has been shot in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. We were eager to meet audiences on March 19, but the current uncertainty in the Middle East has impacted our goals. Therefore, we have decided to shift the release to June 4, 2026. We appreciate the understanding and support of our audience.”

The gangster action-drama is directed by Geetu Mohandas, with Yash himself writing the script and starring in the lead role. The film also features prominent actors such as Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasant, and Tara Sutaria in key roles.
