Xiaomi Unveils Unique Ice Cream Lineup at 2026 Values Conference

Beijing, April 14: Xiaomi, renowned for its diverse product range, has taken an unexpected turn by launching ice cream at the 2026 Values Conference. This new offering is not a smart gadget or flagship phone, but a delightful treat available in three distinct variants: Standard, Pro, and Max.

The Standard edition is priced at an attractive 5.99 yuan (approximately $0.88), providing a basic yet satisfying ice cream experience. For those seeking a little extra, the Pro version is available for 6.99 yuan ($1.02) and includes a single cookie. The Max version, designed for the ultimate indulgence, costs 8.99 yuan ($1.32) and features three cookies.

Chef Bing Jiabao, from Xiaomi’s cafeteria, crafted the ice cream recipe, drawing inspiration from tofu ice cream. The innovative creation incorporates millet, a significant ingredient in Xiaomi’s branding. After several iterations, Chef Bing perfected the recipe, which begins with steaming millet, transforming it into a paste blended with milk, and finishing with millet grain toppings. This method enhances the flavor of millet, addressing a common challenge.

Photos from the launch revealed an ice cream machine featuring branding from Mengniu, a prominent Chinese dairy company, indicating a collaborative effort. Since 2015, Xiaomi has operated its cafeteria in-house, employing chefs and staff who receive standard company benefits.

The introduction of Xiaomi Ice Cream quickly became a trending topic on social media. Some users humorously suggested the absence of an Ultra version or proposed a Youth Edition. Following the launch, Xiaomi confirmed that the ice cream sold out rapidly, highlighting its popularity.
