Mumbai, April 18: The Redmi K Pad 2 is set to be unveiled by Xiaomi at its launch event on April 21. While the company has teased the tablet’s design and key features, a recent leak from tipster Digital Chat Station reveals more technical specifications.
Redmi K Pad 2 Specifications
The leak confirms that the Redmi K Pad 2 features an 8.8-inch LCD display with a stunning 3K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. It maintains the 16:10 aspect ratio of its predecessor.
Powering the tablet is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, promising a significant performance boost over the previous generation. To manage heat effectively, Redmi is reportedly incorporating a large 15,300mm² vapor chamber cooling system.
The K Pad 2 is expected to come with a robust 9,100mAh battery, supporting 67W fast charging. For audio and haptics, it includes dual symmetrical speakers tuned by Bose, along with dual X-axis motors to enhance vibration feedback.
In terms of design, Xiaomi has confirmed a sleek metal unibody build, available in Deep Black, Spotlight Purple, and Space Silver. The tablet features a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button for added security.
The 8.8-inch display is also confirmed to reach a peak brightness of 1100 nits. On the gaming front, Redmi claims support for 165fps gameplay in select titles, along with a 540Hz touch sampling rate.
Additionally, the tablet utilizes a centered chip layout to optimize heat distribution during extended use.
As for pricing, Redmi has not yet disclosed any details. However, based on the specifications, the tablet is expected to fall within a premium price range.
In addition to the K Pad 2, Redmi will also introduce the Redmi K90 Max smartphone and Redmi Buds 8 at the event.
