Noida, April 9: The India Meteorological Department’s latest forecast indicates no significant changes in the weather for the National Capital Region (NCR) at this time. Over the next week, a mix of light clouds and sunshine is expected to continue.
This blend of sun and clouds during the day will provide some relief from the heat, while a slight chill will be felt in the mornings and evenings. According to the weather department, a drop in both maximum and minimum temperatures over the past few days has led to conditions reminiscent of early March. This temporary dip in temperatures has delayed the onset of extreme heat for now.
Experts attribute this change to a western disturbance and light winds, which have kept temperatures slightly below normal. The maximum temperature is expected to range between 30 to 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum may hover around 19 to 21 degrees Celsius. Although a mild warmth will be felt during the day, the likelihood of severe heat conditions remains low.
At night, the weather is expected to remain relatively pleasant. Additionally, the air quality index (AQI) in Delhi-NCR is currently in a satisfactory range. Monitoring stations have recorded AQI levels between 80 and 110, categorizing it as ‘moderate’ to ‘satisfactory.’
According to data from the Central Pollution Control Board, this level is considered acceptable for health; however, sensitive groups are advised to take precautions. Experts believe that the stability in weather and light winds have helped maintain controlled pollution levels. If stronger winds or rain occur, further improvements in AQI are possible. For now, a continuation of this weather pattern is anticipated, providing relief to residents.
