Bulandshahr, July 15: A violent incident occurred in Sikandarabad, Bulandshahr district, involving two groups engaged in a dispute over money transactions. The clash resulted in the deaths of Ajab Singh and Sonu, with two others sustaining injuries. Authorities, including ADG Meerut Zone Bhanu, DIG Meerut Range Kalanidhi Naithani, and the SSP, rushed to the scene upon receiving news of the incident.
Reports indicate that more than a dozen rounds of gunfire were exchanged between the two groups, creating an atmosphere of fear in the area.
SSP Dinesh Kumar provided details about the incident, stating that it took place in Nizamapur village under Sikandarabad police jurisdiction. The conflict reportedly began between Uttam Sharma from Sikandarabad and a young man named Prashant over financial matters. The situation escalated from a verbal altercation to physical violence, culminating in gunfire. Each side lost one member in the exchange.
SSP Kumar further noted that Ajab Singh from one group was killed, while Ratan and Arvind from the same side were injured and are currently receiving treatment at a hospital. On the opposing side, Sonu was reportedly run over by a vehicle, leading to his death. Kumar assured that all individuals involved will be identified and strict legal action will be taken against them.
In a separate incident, a murder suspect was apprehended in a police encounter in Khurja Dehat, Bulandshahr. The accused, Lokesh, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg during the exchange of fire. He was wanted in connection with the murder of Jan Mohammad. Police recovered a firearm, cartridges, and the deceased’s mobile phone from the suspect. The injured accused has been sent to the hospital for treatment, and further legal action is underway.
