Patna, March 27: The city of Patna came alive with vibrant celebrations on the occasion of Ram Navami. The streets were filled with enthusiasm as massive processions took over the area.
The focal point of the festivities was the Dak Bungalow Chowk, also known as Shri Ram Chowk. Here, 52 grand tableaux from various worship committees gathered, showcasing the spirit of the festival.
Notable attendees included Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Nishant Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, and Sanjay Sarawagi, who graced the main stage.
For the first time as the national president of the BJP, Nitin Naveen warmly welcomed the tableaux and dignitaries, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. The Chief Minister also honored participating groups, enhancing the grandeur of the event.
An estimated 500,000 to 700,000 devotees gathered at the venue, despite the intense heat earlier in the day. A sudden change in weather, with cool breezes and light drizzles, provided relief and encouraged more attendees to join.
The event was further elevated by the presence of renowned actor and MP Arun Govil, along with BJP MP and singer Manoj Tiwari.
Extensive security and crowd management measures were implemented, with around 1,500 police officers deployed and 500 CCTV cameras installed. Additionally, 10 drones monitored the area, creatively showering flower petals on the crowd to enhance the festive ambiance.
Imposing statues of Lord Ram, Lord Shiva, and Lord Hanuman, standing 20 to 25 feet tall, were major attractions during the celebrations.
