Lucknow, August 11: In Uttar Pradesh, Muslim clerics have welcomed the state government’s decision to launch the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in madrasas. They believe that hoisting the national flag is a fitting tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence.
This response follows the announcement by the state’s Minority Welfare Minister, Danish Ansari, who stated that the campaign would be organized across madrasas in the state. He also urged students and youth in these institutions to actively participate in this initiative.
Haji Tahiruddin, president of the Khuddam-e-Roza Taj Mahal Urs Committee, praised the initiative, stating that the national flag symbolizes the country’s pride, honor, and collective identity.
Tahiruddin remarked, “Even if Minister Danish Ansari had not made it mandatory, every school, college, and madrasa would still hoist the national flag. The tricolor is our pride, and it is our right to display it.”
He added, “Our religion (Islam) teaches us to abide by the laws of the country we live in, so we will certainly hoist the tricolor. There is no hesitation among community members in participating in this campaign.”
Cleric Mohammad Jameel Hayat also supported the Uttar Pradesh government’s decision, emphasizing that hoisting the national flag should be seen as a shared responsibility, regardless of one’s background.
Hayat stated, “Hoisting the national flag is our duty. It brings us great joy to celebrate our freedom from the British on August 15. We should commemorate this day with enthusiasm. The national flag should be displayed in homes, schools, and madrasas to honor the sacrifices of the freedom fighters who secured India’s independence.”
He further asserted, “To honor the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the country, the national flag should be hoisted in every home, school, and madrasa, inspiring future generations.”
The clerics noted that participating in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign would provide students with an opportunity to understand the significance of Independence Day and remember the sacrifices made during the struggle for freedom.
The Uttar Pradesh government’s decision comes at a time when preparations for Independence Day are in full swing across the state. The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign aims to encourage citizens to bring the national flag into their homes and hoist it as a symbol of national pride and participation in the Independence Day celebrations.
Under this campaign, madrasas across Uttar Pradesh will organize activities such as hoisting the national flag, singing the national anthem, and conducting awareness programs highlighting the contributions and sacrifices of prominent freedom fighters.
The initiative aims to encourage students and youth to engage in Independence Day activities and familiarize them with the contributions of those who fought for India’s freedom and laid down their lives.
