Uttarakhand Board Results: Geetika Pant Tops Class 12 with 98% and Aspires to be an Engineer

Bageshwar, April 25: The Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) announced the results for the Class 10 (High School) and Class 12 (Intermediate) board examinations for 2026 on Saturday. Similar to other boards, girls outperformed boys in this year’s results.

Geetika Pant from Saraswati Shishu Mandir Inter College in Bageshwar achieved the highest score in the Uttarakhand Board Intermediate exam, securing 490 out of 500 marks. With this impressive performance, she topped the state with a remarkable 98% in the Class 12 exams, bringing pride to her district.

Expressing her joy over this achievement, Geetika first thanked her teachers for their guidance and the hard work of her fellow students, which contributed to her success. She also credited her grandfather for his constant encouragement and support throughout her journey.

Additionally, Geetika attributed her success to her parents’ support and her own dedication. She mentioned that she did not count hours while studying but aimed to maximize her study time every day. Geetika shared her ambition of pursuing a career in engineering.

This year, the overall pass percentage for Class 10 was 92.10%, while Class 12 recorded a pass percentage of 85.11%. In High School, the pass percentage for girls was 96.07%, compared to 88.03% for boys. In the Intermediate exams, girls achieved an 88.09% pass rate, while boys had a pass rate of 81.93%.

In the Class 10 results, Akshat Gopal from Ramnagar in Nainital district topped the state with 98.20%. Ishant Kothari and Bhoomika secured second place with 98.00%, while Yogesh Joshi achieved third place with 97.80%.

In the Intermediate results, Geetika Pant from Bageshwar and Sushila Mehndiratta from Udham Singh Nagar jointly topped the state with 98%. Aryan from Rishikesh secured second place with 97.8%, and Vanshika from Haridwar came in third with 97.0%.

It is noteworthy that the UBSE conducted the Class 10 exams from February 23 to March 20 and the Class 12 exams from February 21 to March 20.
