
Lucknow, April 7: The Uttar Pradesh Board has announced a significant directive regarding the education of students from grades 9 to 12. Under this new decision, the curriculum for grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 will be standardized, requiring all government and private schools to exclusively use NCERT textbooks.
This mandate aims to establish a uniform educational framework across the state.
In a conversation with students in Chanduali, most expressed that this is a commendable step by the government.
Students noted that previously, the use of different textbooks in various schools caused confusion. However, with a standardized curriculum, studying will become more manageable.
One student mentioned that if they need to switch schools for any reason, they will not have to purchase new textbooks. They can continue their studies with the same NCERT books, saving both time and money.
Another student remarked that NCERT books are not only of high quality but also quite affordable. Compared to other books, they are readily available, benefiting students from all backgrounds.
Additionally, a student supported the government’s decision, stating that NCERT books are easily accessible at any stationery shop and are very helpful for preparing for future competitive exams.
Moreover, another student pointed out that most supplementary books are also based on NCERT, which will further streamline the studying process.
The UP Board’s decision has been positively received by students, who view it as a significant step towards making education simpler, more accessible, and uniform.
