Union Minister Kiren Rijiju Engages with Religious Leaders Ahead of Kerala Elections

Thiruvananthapuram, April 4: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju met with religious leaders in Kerala amid the assembly elections. He emphasized the importance of engaging with all groups to understand their concerns. This included extensive discussions with church leaders.

Speaking about his meetings with religious figures, Rijiju stated, “I have met not only with religious leaders but also with social workers and representatives from minority communities, including church leaders. It is my duty to meet everyone, which is why I had fruitful discussions with church leaders.”

When asked about social activists in relation to the FCRA, Rijiju assured, “They have raised this issue, and I told them not to worry. Our government works for everyone. If there are any misunderstandings, we will resolve those issues.”

He further added that the government would not take any actions that would harm any religious group or social organization. “We are here for everyone. Prime Minister Modi has already stated that he is committed to the welfare of every Indian,” he said.

Regarding the upcoming Kerala assembly elections, Rijiju remarked, “The people of Kerala are very positive this time. As a BJP leader, I am supporting my party and candidates, informing people about the Prime Minister’s vision for a ‘Developed Kerala’ and ‘Developed India.’”

Additionally, Rijiju posted on the social media platform ‘X,’ stating, “It is time to move beyond the incompetence, appeasement, corruption, and misgovernance of the LDF and UDF. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kerala is on the path to progress towards ‘Developed Kerala’ and ‘Developed India.’”
