Ulka Gupta Proud to Be Part of Kerala Story 2

Mumbai, March 21: Actress Ulka Gupta is currently in the spotlight for her recently released film, ‘Kerala Story 2.’ The film portrays stories from three different states, focusing on the theme of forced religious conversions.

In a recent exclusive interview, Ulka described the film as a reflection of society. She stated, “Films are a mirror to society, and creators depict what is happening in their unique ways.” She emphasized the importance of diverse narratives in cinema, saying, “I believe different types of films and stories should continue to be made. Sometimes we watch films for entertainment, other times for education, drama, or romance. Whenever I find a story or character appealing, I enjoy being a part of it.”

Released on February 27, 2026, ‘Kerala Story 2’ has sparked controversy and debate on social media even before its release. While some labeled the film as propaganda, others recognized it as a serious commentary on social issues. Nonetheless, the film has also received positive responses from various quarters.

Regarding the film’s reception, Ulka shared, “Since its release, we have gradually received a lot of positive feedback from across the country. My family and friends have told me that the film has had a profound impact on them, opening their eyes to many issues.”

Reflecting on her emotional connection to the project, she expressed, “I am very proud to be a part of ‘Kerala Story 2.’” Discussing her decision to take on the role, she said, “I felt a great sense of pride in this role. I focused solely on my character and dedicated myself to acting.”

Ulka added, “I don’t think about the outcomes. If I start worrying about how much love or respect I will receive, I won’t be able to focus on my work.”
