New Delhi, June 23: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has once again urged for increased pressure on Russia following a missile attack in Kryvyi Rih. The assault resulted in the death of three individuals, with over 20 others injured.
Zelensky shared the grim details on the social media platform X, stating, “Efforts to manage the situation continue after the Russian missile strike in Kryvyi Rih. Russia targeted civilian infrastructure. Rescue teams have managed to extinguish the fire. It is tragic that three lives have been confirmed lost. I extend my heartfelt condolences to their families and loved ones.”
He reported that more than 20 people were injured in the attack, with three in serious condition. All victims are receiving necessary medical care and assistance.
The Ukrainian president emphasized that each attack by Russia demonstrates that the pressure on the aggressor in this war remains insufficient. He pointed out that delays in implementing air defense agreements and in supplying essential security resources to Ukraine and its citizens come at a grave cost—people losing their lives.
Zelensky stressed the importance of the world not remaining silent about Russia’s lack of concrete steps to end the war. He noted that there has been no clear response from Russia regarding diplomatic proposals, meetings, or peace initiatives.
He reiterated the need to intensify pressure on Russia to foster a positive change in the situation. Zelensky expressed gratitude to all those providing assistance.
During this time, President Zelensky also praised the soldiers of Ukraine’s Security Service (SSU) Special Operations Center ‘Alpha’ on its anniversary, highlighting their significant impact on the Russian military during the war. According to Zelensky, the long-range operations of the Alpha unit are being felt deep within Russia, with more successful operations expected in the future.
