Udaipur-Delhi Flights Cancelled Due to Fog, Passengers Advised to Check Status

Udaipur, Dec 30, 2025 – Dense fog in Delhi on Monday caused widespread disruption to flight operations, leading to the cancellation of several flights including those on the Udaipur–Delhi route. Both Delhi and Udaipur airport authorities have urged passengers to verify their flight status before travelling to the airport.

Thick winter fog affected large parts of north India, impacting air and rail traffic. At Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, around 128 flights were cancelled and eight were diverted owing to near-zero visibility conditions.

An advisory from Delhi Airport stated, “Due to dense fog, flight operations are currently under CAT III conditions, resulting in flight disruptions. Our on-ground officials are working closely with all stakeholders to assist passengers and provide necessary support across terminals. For the latest flight updates, please contact your respective airlines. We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused.”

Udaipur’s Maharana Pratap Airport also saw cancellations, with three flights on the Udaipur–Delhi route cancelled on December 29. Additionally, one Indore flight was cancelled due to operational reasons.

Flights Cancelled Due to Fog:

  • Flight No. 6E 6765 / 6123: Delhi–Udaipur–Delhi | 9:50 am
  • Flight No. 6E 6855 / 6842: Delhi–Udaipur–Delhi | 1:05 pm
  • Flight No. IX 1737 / 1738: Delhi–Udaipur–Delhi | 8:55 am

Other Cancelled Flight:

  • Flight No. 6E 7424 / 7438: Indore–Udaipur–Indore | 2:50 pm (cancelled due to operational reasons)

Udaipur airport officials said the poor visibility in Delhi was the primary reason for cancelling flights to ensure passenger safety. The sudden cancellations caused inconvenience, especially for travellers with connecting flights, many of whom faced challenges with alternative arrangements and refunds.

The airport administration has strongly advised all passengers to confirm their flight status in advance to avoid last-minute difficulties.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red alert warning for dense to very dense fog in Delhi and parts of north India. The IMD has cautioned that such foggy conditions may continue during morning hours over the next few days, possibly affecting further flight operations.
