UAE Condemns Iranian Attack Targeting Bahrain

New Delhi, March 25: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned an Iranian attack that resulted in the death of a Moroccan contractor on duty, alongside injuries to several UAE defense personnel and Bahraini soldiers.

The UAE criticized the unprovoked assault aimed at the Kingdom of Bahrain. The attack led to the tragic death of a Moroccan contractor who was serving alongside UAE armed forces. Additionally, five members of the UAE Ministry of Defense and several Bahraini soldiers sustained injuries. This incident is a blatant violation of international law.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) reiterated that this aggression constitutes a violation of Bahrain’s sovereignty and poses a threat to its security and stability. It also signals a dangerous escalation that jeopardizes the safety of GCC countries and the broader region.

The UAE expressed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain and emphasized its support for all measures taken to maintain its security and stability. Following this heinous attack, the UAE extended heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased, as well as to the Moroccan government and its people. The UAE also wished for the swift recovery of all the injured.

Amid ongoing tensions in West Asia, Israel claimed on Tuesday that it had successfully neutralized a potential threat by destroying an Iranian launcher in a timely operation.

Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani, an international spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), reported that Israeli Air Force jets targeted a fully loaded ballistic missile launcher in western Iran, which was prepared for an attack on Israel.

Lieutenant Colonel Shoshani posted on the social media platform ‘X’ stating, “We timely prevented a launch aimed at our civilians. The Israeli Air Force jets attacked a ballistic missile launcher in western Iran that was ready to fire at Israel, destroying it before it could be used.”
