Washington, March 7: The White House has announced that U.S. military action against Iran is progressing rapidly toward its objectives. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump is emphasizing the need to increase domestic arms production and is contemplating the future political landscape in Iran.
White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt informed reporters that the ongoing military campaign, dubbed “Operation Epic Fury,” is advancing swiftly, with goals expected to be met in the coming weeks.
Levitt stated that President Trump has made it clear that achieving the objectives of this campaign could take about four to six weeks, and the U.S. is making significant strides in that direction.
According to Levitt, the U.S. has inflicted considerable damage on Iran’s military capabilities, particularly its navy.
She noted that Iran’s navy has been nearly completely dismantled, with over 30 ships and naval vessels sunk, leaving it unable to engage in combat.
The White House indicated that a major aim of this operation is to eliminate the threat posed by Iran’s ballistic missiles, which could endanger U.S. troops and military bases in the region. Levitt reported that the U.S. has also achieved significant success in this area.
She revealed that within six days of the operation’s commencement, retaliatory ballistic missile attacks from Iran have decreased by approximately 90%. The press secretary also mentioned that there have been no significant counterattacks from Iran-backed groups. In the past six days, organizations like Hezbollah and the Houthis have shown minimal resistance.
Levitt emphasized that the primary goal of this military operation is to neutralize the threats posed by Iran to the U.S. and its allies. She clarified Trump’s remarks regarding Iran’s “unconditional surrender.”
She explained that the President means that once he, as the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces, determines that Iran no longer poses a threat to the U.S. and all objectives of Operation Epic Fury have been achieved, Iran will be in a position that could be described as unconditional surrender.
Levitt also indicated that Iran’s current leadership is significantly weakened.
She stated that very few individuals remain capable of representing the government, as the U.S. and Israel have effectively eliminated over 50 leaders of the old regime. When asked about Iran’s political future, Levitt mentioned that U.S. intelligence agencies are assessing potential leadership options.
