New Delhi, March 13: The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have reported extensive destruction of Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut, the Bekaa Valley, and various regions of southern Lebanon. Multiple airstrikes were conducted on Thursday.
On Friday, the IDF posted on its official social media account, X, stating, “The Israeli Air Force targeted properties of the ‘Al-Kard Al-Hassan’ organization and Hezbollah’s weapon storage sites in simultaneous operations across several areas.”
According to the IDF, the strikes in Beirut focused on additional properties of the ‘Al-Kard Al-Hassan’ organization and significant economic sites linked to Hezbollah.
The aim of these attacks was to inflict further damage on Hezbollah, which allegedly uses civilian funds to provide financial services to the organization and promote its activities.
The IDF noted that these operations are part of a recent series of attacks on the ‘Al-Kard Al-Hassan’ organization, which have significantly harmed Hezbollah and its resources.
Due to the recent strikes, the organization’s activities have reportedly come to a complete halt, and its infrastructure has suffered severe damage.
The IDF also indicated that nearly ten weapon storage sites belonging to Hezbollah in the Bekaa Valley and other areas of southern Lebanon were targeted. Some of these warehouses were located between the Litani and Zahrani rivers, from where rockets were launched towards Israeli territory earlier this week.
Previously, on Tuesday, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) claimed to have killed Abu Darar Mohammed, a commander linked to Hezbollah’s missile unit, in an attack.
Mohammed was involved with Hezbollah’s missile unit in Beirut and operated under the Revolutionary Guards. The IAF reported that he possessed crucial information regarding Hezbollah’s strategic military weapons. He led the processes of the organization’s rocket unit and directed missile attacks towards Israel during Operations Northern Arrow and Roar of the Lion.
Abu Darar Mohammed was a key figure in strengthening Hezbollah’s rocket capabilities and was working on its reinforcement following Operation Northern Arrow.
