Bhopal, 24 November (Daily Kiran). Winter conditions have strengthened again in Madhya Pradesh, with two different weather systems currently active across the state. According to the Meteorological Department, these systems have led to cloudy skies in many districts and dense fog in parts of the Vindhya region. As a result, moisture levels have increased and daytime temperatures have dipped slightly.

Pachmarhi Records Lowest Temperature
Pachmarhi remained the coldest place in the state over the past 24 hours, with the minimum temperature dropping to 5.6°C. Other notable temperatures included:
Naugaon – 8.2°C, Narsinghpur – 8.6°C, Mandsaur – 8.6°C, Shajapur – 8.8°C and Rajgarh – 9°C.
In the capital Bhopal, the night temperature fell to 9.4°C, adding to the early morning and late evening chill.
In Indore the minimum temperature was 11.7°C, while Gwalior recorded 12.1°C, Jabalpur 12.2°C and Ujjain 12.5°C. Though these cities remained above 10°C, increased moisture and light winds made mornings and evenings noticeably cold.
No Cold Wave for Five Days, But No Major Relief Either
The Bhopal Meteorological Centre said a Western Disturbance will keep skies partly cloudy in the coming days. Some areas may experience very light rain or drizzle, which could influence minimum temperatures. The good news is that no cold wave conditions are expected anywhere in the state for the next five days. However, night temperatures will remain below normal, meaning there will be no significant relief from cold conditions.
Weather experts added that winter may intensify from the first week of December as icy winds from North India begin to move towards Madhya Pradesh. Most districts are likely to experience increased chill as temperatures continue to drop. Overall, the state will see fluctuating weather conditions, with night-time cooling expected in the coming days.
