TVK Leaders Thank Voters and Outline Future Plans in Chennai Meeting

Chennai, May 5: Leaders of the Tamilga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), the political party led by actor-turned-politician C. Joseph Vijay, expressed gratitude to the voters of Tamil Nadu for their trust in the recent assembly elections. They affirmed their commitment to fulfilling the promises made during the campaign.

The party convened an important meeting at their headquarters in Panaiyur, Chennai, to strategize for the future. A significant police presence and barricades were established at the venue in anticipation of the newly elected representatives’ arrival.

VK Ramkumar, the victorious candidate from Anna Nagar, described the election results as a historic moment for the state. Speaking to a news agency, he stated, “This is a monumental victory for Tamil Nadu. We dedicate this win to those who believed in us. We will fulfill all promises made by our leader.”

He added, “This mandate proves that the people hold the greatest power in elections. We hope to work for the betterment of the public.”

Abhishek R., who won from Polur, indicated that their immediate focus is on internal discussions. He mentioned, “We have gathered here for a meeting to discuss ways to move forward.”

R.V. Ranjit Kumar, the winning candidate from the Kanchipuram constituency, criticized previous governments, accusing them of widespread corruption.

He stated, “Tamil Nadu has only witnessed corrupt governance until now. In the last five years, they have accumulated a debt of 5 lakh crore rupees, burdening the people. The situation is such that only their relatives and acquaintances are prospering through this corruption. Our president has declared that he will eradicate corruption, which is why the people of Tamil Nadu have granted us this victory.”

Ranjit Kumar further remarked, “In 1977, M.G. Ramachandran formed a government. For the second time in history, Vijay has led a revolution. He will undoubtedly work for the welfare of the people, and all promises made by him will be fulfilled. The Thalapathi’s vision will be to collaborate with the central government. Just yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated TVK. The support for TVK will continue to grow; it will never diminish.”
