Beijing, March 21: Recently, the China Media Group conducted a high-level interview with Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, the national leader of Turkmenistan and chairman of the People’s Council. In this interview, he elaborated on the evolving relationship between China and Turkmenistan.
Reflecting on the 34-year journey since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Berdymukhamedov stated that Turkmenistan-China relations have now entered a high-level phase of cooperation.
He clearly articulated that “the potential for Turkmenistan-China relations is vast, and their future is extremely bright.” He congratulated China on the successful hosting of the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (NPC and CPPCC) in 2026. Additionally, he praised China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, stating that it marks the beginning of a new chapter in the country’s high-quality development.
Furthermore, Berdymukhamedov noted that under the visionary leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping, China has achieved remarkable accomplishments across various sectors and is now preparing a well-thought-out and long-term blueprint for future development. According to him, China is not only advancing its national progress but has also emerged as a significant factor for stability and sustainable development on a global scale.
