Istanbul, April 18: The Antalya Diplomacy Forum is currently taking place in Turkey. On Saturday, foreign ministers from Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey convened for their third advisory meeting. They emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for achieving peace and stability in the region.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed the evolving regional landscape and shared their perspectives on addressing current challenges. They agreed that diplomatic efforts and dialogue are the most effective means to maintain stability in the region.

According to Turkish media outlet Hurriyet Daily News, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan hosted the third meeting with his counterparts from Egypt, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia on April 18, alongside the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
Meanwhile, UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, attending the Antalya Forum, called for the complete resumption of shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
In an interview with Reuters, she stated, “We are at a crucial diplomatic juncture, where a ceasefire has been implemented. However, normal traffic through Hormuz has yet to resume.”
She emphasized the need to transform the ceasefire into lasting peace and added that this waterway is vital for the global economy.
The Antalya Diplomacy Forum is being held from April 17 to 19, with representatives from over 150 countries gathering in Antalya. In his opening remarks on Friday, Minister Fidan expressed Turkey’s “trust” that the 14-day ceasefire established on April 8 will be fully implemented and peace will be restored.
