Trump Criticizes Iranian Government and U.S. Media for Spreading Fake News

Washington, March 16: U.S. President Donald Trump has launched a strong attack on both the Iranian government and American media for spreading misinformation. He accused Iran of attempting to win the propaganda war using AI-generated fake videos. Trump warned that Iran is employing AI as a lethal weapon in the information war to create global confusion.

Targeting Iran, President Trump stated, “Iran has long been considered a master of manipulating facts through the media and public relations. They are ineffective and weak militarily, but they excel at misleading the fake news media. Now, AI has become another weapon of misinformation that Iran is adeptly utilizing. They are fading day by day.”

In his post, Trump further claimed that Iran is showcasing fake boats firing at various ships in the sea, which appear impressive and dangerous, but these boats do not exist. This misinformation aims to portray their already defeated military as strong.

Expressing sharp criticism of American media reporting, President Trump remarked, “The Wall Street Journal’s reports are completely misleading. The report claimed that five U.S. refueling planes were severely damaged in an Iranian attack, while the reality is quite the opposite. Four of these planes are completely safe and operational. Only one plane sustained minor damage, which will be ready to fly again after repairs. The buildings and ships shown on fire are not burning; this is AI-generated fake news. For instance, Iran is collaborating with the fake news media to depict our great USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier, one of the largest and most prestigious ships in the world, as burning uncontrollably at sea.”

The U.S. President stated that media outlets spreading such fake news should face charges of treason. He added, “The truth is that Iran is collapsing, and they only win the battles they create through AI and which corrupt media outlets disseminate. The radical left-wing press knows this well, yet continues to spread false stories.”

Pointing out the low approval ratings of these media outlets due to false news, he emphasized that their credibility has diminished significantly.

Trump also expressed satisfaction that Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Brendan Carr is reviewing the licenses of these corrupt and highly biased news organizations. According to him, these institutions benefit from free use of American airwaves but misuse it to spread misinformation in their news and various programs. Trump sarcastically noted that late-night show hosts receive hefty salaries despite poor ratings, and as he used to say on his show The Apprentice, they are never fired.
