Gopalganj, March 29: A serious road accident occurred in Gopalganj district, Bihar, on Sunday morning. An out-of-control speeding truck collided violently with a police jeep on patrol. As a result, three police officers sustained injuries.
The impact was so severe that the police jeep overturned, leaving the three officers on board seriously injured. This incident took place near the Banjari turn in the Nagar police station area. The police team was conducting night patrols on National Highway 27 when the accident happened. As the police jeep approached Banjari turn, a speeding truck lost control and crashed directly into it.
The sound of the collision was so loud that nearby residents rushed to the scene. The injured officers include Tarkeshwar Singh, Mohammad Farooq, and Satyendra Yadav. A police official stated that upon receiving news of the incident, other officers from the Nagar police station arrived at the scene and rushed the injured officers to the district hospital for treatment.
According to doctors, all officers are reported to be out of danger. The truck driver fled the scene after the accident, and the police jeep was completely damaged. It is reported that the Nagar police were on night patrol at the time. Currently, the Nagar police are investigating the case and are searching for the fleeing truck and driver based on nearby CCTV footage.
