Tributes Pour In for Major Dhyan Singh Thapa on His Death Anniversary

New Delhi, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : On September 6, leaders from across the political spectrum gathered to pay tribute to Major Dhyan Singh Thapa, a recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, on the anniversary of his passing. Major Thapa is celebrated for his extraordinary bravery during the 1962 India-China war.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla took to social media platform X to express his heartfelt homage, stating, “On the death anniversary of Major Dhyan Singh Thapa, a hero of the 1962 India-China war, I pay my respects. His valor and leadership are etched in the glorious chapters of Indian military history that our nation will always remember with pride.”

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma also honored Thapa, emphasizing his unwavering courage. He wrote, “I pay my respects to Major Dhyan Singh Thapa, who displayed unmatched bravery for the motherland. His valor and supreme sacrifice during the 1962 war will always inspire our brave soldiers. His immortal contribution will forever remain alive in the memories of our nation.”

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami echoed these sentiments, stating, “On the death anniversary of Major Dhyan Singh Thapa, a valiant son of Mother India who gave a fitting reply to the enemies during the 1962 war, I express my deepest respects. His tales of bravery will always motivate us to serve the nation.”

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak joined in the tributes, expressing his admiration for Thapa’s courage during the India-China conflict. Bihar government minister Vijay Kumar Sinha and Bihar BJP state president Sanjay Sarawagi also posted tributes, highlighting Thapa’s exemplary valor and dedication to the nation.

These tributes reflect the deep respect and admiration for Major Dhyan Singh Thapa, whose legacy continues to inspire future generations.
