Uttarakhand Chief Minister Approves Major Development Projects Worth Crores

Dehradun, September 5 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami of Uttarakhand has approved a series of substantial development projects across various districts, focusing on beautifying religious sites, constructing roads, and improving housing and irrigation infrastructure. The initiatives also include enhancing transportation frameworks and strengthening aerial security for the Chardham Yatra.

In the Tehri district, Dhami allocated ₹1.05 crore for the beautification of the Nagchound Shiva Temple in the Devprayag assembly constituency, releasing an initial installment of ₹82.62 lakh. Additionally, ₹1 crore was sanctioned for beautifying the Gauri Shankar Mahadev Temple in the Udham Singh Nagar district, with the first tranche amounting to ₹60 lakh.

For the Pithoragarh district, the Chief Minister approved ₹62.19 lakh for constructing a CC road connecting Beda to Bhattiyani Melthinath, with ₹37.31 lakh released in the first installment.

In Dehradun, ₹2.27 crore was allocated for the construction of 36 Type II houses in Daurankhas. The irrigation department also received approval for 27 projects financed by NABARD, totaling ₹61.76 crore. Furthermore, ₹16.13 crore was approved for the construction of a proposed Super ECBC building at the UREDA headquarters in Dehradun, with an initial release of ₹1 crore.

In Haldwani, funds amounting to ₹9.80 crore were approved for a driver training institute under the regional transport office, alongside ₹10.98 crore for the office itself and ₹4.93 crore for an automotive driving test track.

To enhance safety and provide real-time weather information for helicopter operations on Chardham travel routes, the Chief Minister sanctioned ₹7.56 crore from a total of ₹10 crore for supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning automated weather observing systems and ceilometers at various heliports and helipads, along with three years of comprehensive maintenance service.

Lastly, ₹36.51 lakh was approved to subsidize electricity rates for domestic consumers in the state.
