Tributes Pour In for Babu Jagjivan Ram on His Birth Anniversary

New Delhi, April 5: Babu Jagjivan Ram, India’s first Dalit Deputy Prime Minister, is being honored today on his birth anniversary. Central Home Minister Amit Shah, along with senior BJP leaders including Nitin Gadkari, paid their respects. Shah remarked that Jagjivan Ram’s struggle will always serve as an inspiration for all.

On the social media platform X, Amit Shah wrote, “On the birth anniversary of Babu Jagjivan Ram, a champion of social justice, I pay my respects. He dedicated his entire life to serving the nation and promoting social justice. His remarkable contributions to the freedom struggle and his steadfast opposition to divisive forces while advocating for the rights of the marginalized will always inspire us.”

Central Minister Nitin Gadkari also shared his thoughts on X, stating, “I humbly pay tribute to the great freedom fighter and skilled administrator Babu Jagjivan Ram, who tirelessly fought for the rights of the poor, marginalized, and oppressed.”

Manohar Lal Khattar, the Chief Minister of Haryana, expressed his sentiments on X, saying, “I pay my respects to Babu Jagjivan Ram, a pioneer of social harmony and a former Deputy Prime Minister. His dedication to public service and commitment to social justice will always be a source of inspiration for all of us.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared his tribute on X, stating, “I offer my humble respects on the birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter, champion of social justice, and former Deputy Prime Minister Babu Jagjivan Ram. He amplified the voices of the marginalized and oppressed, continuously fighting for equal opportunities and social harmony. His life inspires us to create a more just society through service, dedication, and social unity.”

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also paid tribute on X, saying, “I bow in reverence on the birth anniversary of the esteemed freedom fighter and former Deputy Prime Minister Babu Jagjivan Ram. He raised his voice for the upliftment of the poor, weak, and oppressed, dedicating his life to their welfare.”
