Tragic LPG Cylinder Fire Claims Young Life in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, September 12 (Daily Kiran) : Chaos erupted in the Bhavapur area of Ghaziabad’s Kaushambi police station on Saturday night when a fire broke out from an LPG cylinder stored in a house. Emergency services were alerted after reports surfaced that individuals were trapped inside the burning structure. The Vaishali fire station team quickly dispatched units to the scene.

Firefighters navigated a narrow alley on foot to control the flames and rescue those trapped inside. Unfortunately, a father and his daughter suffered severe burns in the incident. The young girl later succumbed to her injuries during treatment. According to the fire department, they received the alarm around 8:29 PM on September 12, 2026, indicating that people were trapped within the house.

Upon arrival at Balak Ram Colony, the fire crew faced a challenging situation. The fire originated in the home of Guddu, a tenant living in the property owned by Netrapal Singh. The flames had also engulfed household items within the residence.

The alley leading to the house was too narrow for fire engines to access directly, prompting firefighters to act swiftly using alternative methods. They made their way on foot, utilizing available resources and basic firefighting equipment to combat the blaze. With buckets of water and their firefighting tools, they managed to extinguish the fire in a short time.

Both Guddu and his daughter, Aanchal, were severely burned and required immediate medical attention. The officer in charge of the Vaishali fire station, Mulchand Singh, personally oversaw their transport to Yashoda Hospital in Kaushambi for treatment. Although the fire was contained and did not spread to neighboring homes, some household items were destroyed in the blaze.

Following the incident, fire department officials visited the hospital to check on Aanchal’s condition. Sadly, despite efforts to save her, the young girl passed away shortly thereafter. The tragedy has cast a pall over the family and highlighted the challenges of conducting rescue operations in narrow alleyways during fire emergencies.
