Lucknow, May 13: The autopsy report of Pratik Yadav, the son of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and half-brother of Akhilesh Yadav, has been released following his suspicious death on Wednesday morning. A team of doctors conducted the autopsy after he was found unresponsive.
According to the report, Pratik Yadav, aged 38, suffered a cardiac arrest due to a blood clot that traveled from the lower part of his body to the upper body, leading to an infection in the arteries and lungs.
The autopsy findings indicated a total of six injury marks on his body. Notably, there were severe contusions and signs of internal bleeding on his right chest, right arm, right forearm, right elbow, and left wrist.
The first injury was a 14Ă—7 cm bruise located beneath the right nipple, with a reddish-brown center and green-yellow edges. The second injury measured 19Ă—12 cm on the back of the right hand, while the third was found on the right forearm, spanning 24Ă—8 cm from the elbow to the wrist.
Additionally, the fourth injury on the right forearm measured 6Ă—4 cm, the fifth on the back of the right elbow was 12Ă—6 cm, and the sixth on the left wrist was 3Ă—2 cm. All injuries showed signs of internal bleeding.
The cause of death was attributed to “massive pulmonary thromboembolism” leading to “cardiorespiratory collapse.” The report also noted that the heart and pulmonary thromboembolic material were preserved for histopathological examination, while the viscera was preserved for chemical analysis and handed over to the relevant police authorities.
Doctors clarified that all injuries were ante-mortem, meaning they occurred before death. The first three injuries were estimated to be 5 to 7 days old, while the last three were approximately one day old. The time between death and the autopsy was reported to be about half a day.
Pratik Yadav was taken to a civil hospital in Lucknow for treatment by his family, where he unfortunately passed away.
