Mumbai, August 8: A tragic incident occurred outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartment, where a police constable died while on duty.
The deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Constable Ganesh, who had been assigned to Salman Khan’s security detail for several years.
On Friday, while performing his duties, Ganesh suddenly fell ill and collapsed. Fellow officers and security personnel at the scene quickly rushed him to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
A senior officer from the Mumbai police stated, “Preliminary information from doctors indicates that Constable Ganesh died from a heart attack. His condition was critical while being transported to the hospital.”
Following the incident, the Bandra police and senior officials arrived at the location. The body will be sent for a post-mortem examination, which will confirm the exact cause of death.
It is noteworthy that Salman Khan has been receiving threats recently, prompting a 24-hour police and private security presence outside his home. Ganesh was part of this security team.
Police sources have confirmed that the department will provide all possible assistance and compensation to the deceased constable’s family. Additionally, he will be given a dignified funeral with government honors.
