TMCs Governance Under Fire: Tripura CM Calls for Change in West Bengal

Mumbai, March 10: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has urged the people of West Bengal to remove the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government from power. Speaking at a significant ‘Parivartan Yatra’ rally in Bardhaman district, he criticized the TMC’s 15-year rule, claiming it has led to a deterioration in law and order in the state.

Saha emphasized that to restore democracy, peace, and development in West Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) must be brought to power. He called on the people to pledge to oust the TMC government, which he accused of spreading terror over the past 15 years.

He highlighted Bardhaman as a land of revolution and devotion, alleging that residents face obstacles in organizing religious events. Saha referenced incidents of violence in various parts of the state, claiming that even Saraswati Puja celebrations require permission.

The Chief Minister pointed out disruptions during the immersion of idols during Kali Puja in areas like Uluberia, Tehatta, and Rajabazar, and reported attacks on Ram Navami rallies. He urged the crowd to vow against accepting injustice.

Saha noted that BJP leaders and workers stand united during challenging times, which is why he attended the rally in West Bengal from Tripura. He accused the TMC government of deteriorating the political culture and democratic environment in the state, asserting that West Bengal has become a hub of corruption.

Comparing the situation to the previous Left Front government in Tripura, he stated that corruption and irregularities in recruitment are also rampant in West Bengal. He criticized the TMC for failing to ensure the safety and respect of women, despite having a female Chief Minister.

Saha accused the TMC of exploiting illegal Bangladeshi immigrants as a vote bank, claiming that the West Bengal government has not cooperated with the central government in fencing parts of the international border with Bangladesh. He highlighted that Tripura shares a border with Bangladesh but has implemented strict border security measures.

Focusing on development efforts in Tripura, the Chief Minister asserted that the state government is effectively implementing all central schemes and has significantly improved law and order. He noted that investors are now showing interest in Tripura due to the enhanced security situation.

Saha concluded by stating that if the people of Tripura could remove the CPI(M) government, then the people of West Bengal could also bring about change. He urged the public to make the right decision to establish a BJP government in the state, citing rampant corruption, crime, and scams.
