Tej Pratap Yadav Alleges Murder Conspiracy Against Him and His Father

Patna, June 21: Tej Pratap Yadav, the leader of the Janashakti Janata Dal (JJD) and former minister of Bihar, has accused his former associate, Akash Yadav, of plotting to murder him and his ailing father, Lalu Yadav. He filed a police complaint against Akash and several others on Saturday.

According to the complaint lodged at the Secretariat police station in Patna, Tej Pratap alleged that Akash Yadav, his sister Anushka Yadav, and other family members conspired to kill both him and his father.

Speaking to reporters, Tej Pratap confirmed that an FIR has been registered against Akash, Anushka, and six others. He accused them of attempting to damage his public image and being involved in a conspiracy against his family.

During a press conference in Patna, Tej Pratap stated, “My father, Lalu Yadav, is ill. They are plotting to kill both of us.” He also urged Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary to ensure the safety of him and his family.

The roots of this controversy trace back to Tej Pratap’s earlier public claims regarding his relationship with Anushka Yadav. He had previously stated that he was in a relationship with her despite being married.

Following this incident, Lalu Yadav announced disciplinary action against his elder son, Tej Pratap, distancing him from party activities. Tej Pratap later claimed that social media posts related to this matter were made after his online accounts were hacked, describing the situation as a misunderstanding.

Before Tej Pratap filed his complaint, Akash Yadav had approached the Patliputra police station with allegations against the JJD leader. According to Akash, Tej Pratap and his associates attempted to forcibly enter his home under the pretense of visiting family members.

He also alleged that he received a threatening call from a number in the U.S., with the caller claiming to have links to a gangster in prison.

Tej Pratap has denied these allegations, labeling them as fabricated and politically motivated. He hinted at a larger political conspiracy behind the alleged threats.
