
Tata Motors‘ new Sierra SUV has made its entry into the Indian market. However, the company has not yet revealed the pricing of any variant except the entry-level model. The starting ex-showroom price is Rs 11.49 lakh.
It is expected that the complete price list for all variants may be announced by the end of this month or in the second or third week of December. The Tata Sierra is currently available in 7 variants including Smart+, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure+, Accomplished, and Accomplished+.
The SUV can be purchased in 6 colours – Pure Grey, Pristine White, Andaman Adventure, Munnar Mist, Coorg Clouds, and Bengal Rouge. Bookings will commence from December 16, while deliveries are scheduled to begin from January 15, 2026.
Engine and Specifications
The new generation Tata Sierra comes with a new 1.5-litre GDi turbo petrol engine that generates 158bhp and 255Nm. This engine comes with a 6-speed AT. The Sierra can also be opted with a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine that produces 105bhp and 145Nm, available with either a 6-speed MT or 7-speed DCT.
Another option is the 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 116bhp and 260Nm, which can be paired with either a 6-speed MT or 7-speed DCT. AWD has also been announced for the Sierra, making it the first Tata model to feature this technology in the company’s new generation vehicles.
Interior and Features
The Sierra’s cabin is similar to the Curvv, but includes some Tata design language elements for the first time, such as triple-screen layout, 12-speaker JBL sound system with sound bar, HUD, and a new centre console. Other features include dual-zone climate control, connected car technology, Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, and powered and ventilated front seats.
The iconic Alpine roof has been redesigned for modern times without any curvature. It is now an accented flat glass, with a sunroof helping to create space.
Design and Safety
Tata Sierra’s design highlights include boxy silhouette, Alpine glass roof, 19-inch alloy wheels, full-LED light package, rear spoiler, and a new version of the signature Tata grille. It is available in six exterior and three interior colour schemes.
All versions of the Sierra come with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, stability program, and ISOFIX child seat mounting points. The vehicle measures 4.6 metres in length with a wheelbase of 2.7 metres.
